Meet our Leadership Team
Tom Pinkh
FOUNDER & CEO
Tom Pinkh is a political strategist and small business coach who fell into the world of campaign life by accident, and quickly realized he had found his place. He soon opened a small political consulting firm, which eventually became the firm VoteNexus is today.
Tom got his start in the independent and 3rd-party circuit, later joining the Democratic Party amidst the still-ongoing efforts by elements of the far right to restrict the rights of marginalized Americans. His campaign expertise is rooted in his sharp instincts and creative solutions, and solidified through varied experience. He has worked in races big and small: two presidential campaigns, gubernatorial races in four states, mayoral bids in two top-3 major cities, a swing state senate seat, multiple congressional campaigns, and local races from town supervisor to city clerk.
A New York City native who now lives in the Louisville, KY area, Tom is the driving force behind our strategy of vertical integration, allowing VoteNexus to offer a wide array of services to our clients — saving campaigns time, money, and the hassle of juggling multiple vendors. He lives by a philosophy of “think different” — challenging the status quo, maintaining diverse core competencies, and daring to take the road less travelled.
Brandon Russell
CHIEF OF STAFF
Brandon Russell is a strategist, operator, and campaign lifer who believes the best work happens when we do things differently—and do them well. He cut his teeth in crisis management, then sharpened his skills in campaign strategy, fundraising, and field operations, and has been pushing the limits of what’s possible in politics ever since.
Before joining VoteNexus as Chief of Staff, Brandon served as Chief of Staff @ Sole Strategies, along with its affiliate, National Ground Game. He led the executive team, managed all operations nationwide, and helped drive the firm’s strategic direction through some of the most high-stakes fights of the cycle.
Brandon has worked with principals ranging from first-time challengers to national leaders. No matter the race or region, he brings the same approach: clear thinking, bold execution, and a deep respect for the people who power our politics.
If it’s high-stakes, high-impact, and maybe a little crazy—you’ll probably find Brandon right in the middle of it.
Jacolby Evans
FUNDRAISING & OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Jacolby Evans joined VoteNexus in 2025 as Fundraising and Outreach Director. Previously, he served as Deputy Finance Director for Congressman Ro Khanna’s re-election campaign.
Prior to VoteNexus and Rep. Khanna, Jacolby worked for campaigns and organizations including Raja for Congress, Marcus Simon for Delegate, Beto for Texas, and the Biden-Harris and Harris-Walz campaigns. With nine years of campaign experience and extensive finance expertise, Jacolby is a specialist at building strategic fundraising programs and strong donor relationships. Outside of work, he enjoys writing, long walks, and visiting museums.
Daniel Carlino
As a grassroots organizer turned Missoula City Councilman, Daniel Carlino has seen firsthand how grassroots campaigns can transform communities. When he ran for City Council, his team built a movement focused on affordable housing, climate action, and giving everyday people a stronger voice in local government, and they won.
He understands what it's like to manage campaigns from start to finish and what it's like being the candidate. Beyond his own election, Carlino has helped over fifty candidates across the country organize winning campaigns. From city and county races to statewide initiatives, he’s used hard work and winning strategy to get candidates elected. He brings a deep understanding of how campaigns can overcome big-money politics and deliver tangible results for communities.
